Below are links providing information that may help you.  Basically, there is no way to get rid of your debt, but if you reside in Texas or Pennsylvania (i.e. move there) collectors cannot garnish your wages.  In Pennsylvania, there are also relatively short “Statue of Limitation” laws, which may help shorten the amount of time you have to deal with collectors.
